Hot tubs come in many shapes and sizes - a cover has to match the geometry of the shell exactly to sit taut and not flap in the wind. Round, square or swim spa are not separate models here but options of one product: you choose the shape, enter your measurements, and we make it to those. And because airtight tarpaulins trap moisture, we solve ventilation through the construction of the cover rather than through a "breathable" fabric.

Secure fastening

Tension straps with click buckles at the corner points plus a drawcord in the hem hold the cover in place in wind - instead of elastic that goes slack or single eyelets.

Carefully sewn seams

All seams are carefully sewn and, on request, additionally sealed with welded tape - so the cover stays tight even in prolonged rain.

Fabric & properties

A good hot tub cover has to keep rain out reliably and still be ventilated. We sew from Cover-PVC, a vapour-tight, PVC-coated polyester fabric with a 4,000 mm water column - so it really is waterproof. High weather resistance and UV stability mean that as a hot tub winter cover it survives sun, frost and snow load for years, instead of turning brittle after one season like thin film tarpaulins.

How to measure and order

The most common worry with a made to measure cover is the size - will it really fit? A few measurements are all it takes, and if in doubt we check them together before production.

Diameter or edge lengths

For round shells measure the diameter, for square ones the edge lengths - each including the cabinet panels and any overhanging lid.

Height down to the hem

Measure the height from the highest point to the hem line you want - a deliberate gap to the ground stays for ventilation.

Give us shape, size and colour

Choose the shape of the shell, enter your measurements and pick the fabric colour - we sew the cover to fit.

Outdoors, a waterproof made to measure cover with a ventilated construction proves itself: vapour-tight Cover-PVC keeps rain, leaves and UV out, while concealed vents and the ground clearance let moisture escape - so no condensation and no mould form. Airtight tarpaulins that lie flat on the ground trap the wet instead. Beyond that, an exact fit to the size and shape of your shell is what matters.

On a hot tub the insulation job belongs to the insulated hot tub lid. Our weather cover keeps that lid dry and shields it from UV: a soaked or brittle thermal hot tub cover loses noticeable insulating power, so more heat escapes and the heater runs more often. Keeping the insulation dry and intact supports the energy efficiency of your spa in continuous use.

An insulated cover (thermal cover) reduces heat loss through the water surface and lowers heating costs. It is sensitive itself, though: UV light makes its skin brittle, and water getting in leaves the foam core heavy and ineffective. A made to measure weather cover over the top protects the insulation, the shell and the cabinet - the two together give the better protection.

Replace the cover when it starts letting water through, when the material has gone brittle or when seams and hem are worn. Thin film tarpaulins often lose their plasticisers to UV within a season and tear at the first frost. If water keeps pooling on the cover, the tension is gone too - then a new made to measure cover is worth it.

Rinse the cover with clean water and wipe it down with a mild cleaner if needed - no aggressive solvents. Cover-PVC is easy to care for, dirt hardly sticks to it. Let the cover dry completely before storing it and keep the vents clear so the ventilation works.

For round shells measure the diameter, for square ones the edge lengths - each including the cabinet - plus the height down to the hem line you want. With those measurements we sew the cover to fit, with defined tension and ground clearance. If in doubt we check your measurements together before production.

Through the fastening: tension straps with click buckles at the corner points and a drawcord in the hem hold the cover firmly to the shell. Because a made to measure cover sits close, it gives the wind little to grab and does not balloon - unlike loose universal tarpaulins whose elastic goes slack over time.
