The Sunbrella warranty covers unusual fabric wear due to loss of color or strength under normal conditions of use, including exposure to sunlight, mold, mildew, and general atmospheric chemicals, provided the fabric has been properly installed, used, and maintained. provided the fabric has been properly installed, used, and maintained.
Not covered are installation work by the dealer and damage caused by improper use, neglect, accidental burns, or mechanical damage such as punctures.
Water-repellent or flame-retardant treatments are intended exclusively for cushions and upholstery. The laminated side must always face inwards and must not be exposed to direct sunlight or weather conditions.

Sunbrella fabrics can usually be cleaned easily with water. For more stubborn stains, standard household cleaners can be used, even those containing bleach. The fabrics dry quickly, hardly crease, and retain their neat, new appearance for many years.
