Corner Bench Cushions

Corner bench seat cushions are cushions that fit the seat of one side of the bench exactly. A wooden bench without cushions is hard and becomes uncomfortable when you sit for longer. With seat and back cushions you sit more comfortably at the dining table, and the corner bench feels more homely.

Back cushions pad the backrest of the corner bench. They are filled with the softer RG 20/30 foam. In the configurator you enter a height between 20 and 50 cm. Measure the area of the backrest that the cushion should cover.

Start with the shape of the bench: two sides without a corner piece, with a corner cushion or with back cushions as well. Then choose 4 or 6 cm thickness, the fabric and whether you would like ties. You enter the size of each piece yourself.

We sew the sets from Dralon, a fabric of 100 % acrylic with 220 g/m². It has a water and dirt repellent finish, and the cover can be washed at 30 °C. You choose between plain colours, stripes and checks.

In the kitchen a water-repellent cover is enough. Drinks bead up at first and can be dabbed off. The woven Dralon cover is not waterproof, so wipe up spilt liquid soon so that it does not soak into the foam.

The price depends on the number of pieces, the measurements, the thickness and the ties. The configurator on each set works it out straight away as soon as you have entered your measurements.

Measure each side separately: the width and seat depth of the area to be cushioned. For the corner cushion and back corner piece we need the measurements of the corner, and for back cushions the width and height of the backrest. The measuring guide for bench cushions shows it step by step.

No. Give us the exact measurements of the area you want to cushion. We sew to a tolerance of plus/minus 1 cm. Thanks to the thermal fleece, new cushions look slightly larger and may stand a little over the edge at first, and they settle over time.

In the set you choose 4 or 6 cm for the seat and the back. We make our foam in even thicknesses up to 20 cm, so please ask us if you would like thicker cushions for your corner bench.

Firm RG 40/50 foam in the seat and the softer RG 20/30 in the back. Both are polyether foams, tested to OEKO-TEX Standard 100, product class I, and wrapped in thermal fleece. RG 40/50 replaces the earlier RG 35/40 grade.

We sew the corner bench sets with a box edge: a strip of fabric as wide as the cushion is thick forms a crisp, square side. Single bench cushions are also available with a French seam, which looks flatter and softer, and in a tufted version.

Brush or vacuum off light dirt, and remove stains with lukewarm water and neutral soap. To wash the cover, take it off using the zip: 30 °C, gentle cycle, no fabric softener, dry in the air. Do not use bleach.

For the seat cushions you can choose ties in the configurator and tie them to the bench. If you would like a different fixing, for example hook-and-loop tape, write it in the note or send us an email.

At the latest when the foam has gone flat and no longer springs back. If the core is still good and only the cover is worn or out of date, we can sew just new covers for you. If you want to re-upholster your corner bench without touching the wood, simply put new made-to-measure cushions on it.
