Cover-PVC
the waterproof cover fabric
Cover-PVC is the fabric we use for made to measure covers: a tear-resistant polyester weave with a closed PVC coating - a pvc coated polyester fabric that is genuinely waterproof, with a 4,000 mm water column rather than a mere water-repellent finish. It keeps rain, dirt and sun off whatever sits underneath - in seven colours.
A protective fabric, not an upholstery fabric
Unlike our upholstery and awning fabrics, Cover-PVC is not a fabric for sitting on or for shade. It is a waterproof cover fabric for year-round outdoor use. The tear-resistant polyester base carries a closed PVC layer that makes the fabric waterproof and resistant to dirt, dust and weather. At 280 g/m² it is heavy and holds its shape, so the cover sits taut and does not flap in the wind. For cushions, pads and awnings we recommend our outdoor fabrics.

Highlights
Waterproof

The fabric is treated against UV radiation so that coating and fibres do not turn brittle in the sun.

60,000 abrasion cycles and over 1,200 N tensile strength - a small tear does not simply keep running.
OEKO-TEX Standard 100
Tested for harmful substances and safe for use in living and leisure areas.
Easy to clean
The closed surface hardly picks up dirt - water, a sponge and a little mild detergent are enough.
Waterproof and still ventilated
A truly waterproof fabric does not let vapour through either. To stop condensation collecting under the cover, we solve ventilation through the construction, not the fabric. The inside stays dry and free of mould.
Sealed from above
The fabric itself is vapour-tight - rain does not get through.
Open to air
At least two concealed vents under flaps or fabric folds let air circulate under the cover.
No condensation
Moisture can escape, while rain running off from above passes the vents by.

Warranty
We give a 3-year warranty on the waterproofness of Cover-PVC. It applies to the fabric when used as intended and cared for as described below.
How to care for Cover-PVC
Cover-PVC is easy to clean by hand: wash off dirt with lukewarm water, a sponge or soft brush and a little mild detergent, rinse with clear water and leave to air-dry.
Do not machine wash
Cover-PVC is cleaned by hand only.
Hand wash up to 30 °C
Lukewarm water, a sponge or soft brush, mild detergent.
Do not bleach
No chlorine and no bleach.
Do not tumble dry
Leave to air-dry.
Do not iron
Keep the iron away from the fabric.
