Folding Awnings Suitable for Almost All Roofs
Whether for a patio cover, awning, or conservatory, a sun protection solution like our folding awning is essential. Almost all roofs are uniquely different, and standard-sized folding awnings rarely fit as sun protection. When they do, compromises often have to be made—too short here, too long there.
Our custom-made folding awnings are the ideal shading solution for your patio, as all our folding awnings are made to measure.
Installation is incredibly simple—just tension the ropes and attach the shading fabric using the included glider clips.
You have nearly 50 fabric colors and patterns to choose from, so you’re sure to find a folding awning that perfectly matches your ambiance.
The folding awnings can be installed in two different ways
You can configure each panel individually in our online configurator or add the desired number of identical panels directly to your cart.
Folding awnings can also be used with open pergolas!
Please keep in mind that our folding awnings are not a substitute for a roof! If they are to be used with an open pergola, we recommend installing a protective cover to shield the retracted awnings from wind and precipitation, as the shading fabric can withstand wind speeds of up to 30 km/h. This way, the folding awnings will last much longer.

Optimal Awning Protection for an Open Pergola
The awning protection does not need to be oversized, but it should not be too small either.
Ideally, our shading fabric should be protected from above and on the sides.
Determine the optimal dimensions for your protection with our online calculator. It is assumed that the distance between the pipes per section is approximately 40 cm.
This will determine the optimal protection depth and height.

The folding awnings purchased on this page come with all necessary components and mounting accessories, so no additional purchases are needed to install the shading fabric.
Shading Fabric
The shading fabric of the folding awnings is reinforced with aluminum pipes (diameter 19 mm), which are included as standard.
Operating and mounting accessories
The folding awnings are hung on the rope using gliders.
The shading fabric is supplied with sufficiently long rope and the correct number of gliders. An 80 cm long operating rod with a diameter of 18 mm is also included with each order.
Cable Tensioning System
Depending on the chosen mounting kit, one of these variants will be supplied:
Front Board Mounting
A mounting kit for cable installation on the front board consists of 10 parts
Bracket Mounting
A mounting kit using brackets consisting of multiple parts
Side Cable Tensioners
A set of side cable tensioners consists of 4 tensioners including screws.

Determining Width for Installation Between Rafters
When installing folding awnings between rafters, enter the clear width between the rafters in the "Panel Width" field.
Determining Width for Installation Under Rafters
When installing folding awnings under rafters, enter the distance between the centers of the respective rafters in the "Panel Width" field.
Determining Panel Length
The panel length is entered as the actual length of the area to be shaded including the cable tensioning system.
Please do not add or subtract anything
The shading panels are manufactured slightly narrower in width (approx. 0.5 cm from each side), allowing the folding awnings to slide without touching the rafters or adjacent panels. The folding awnings are manufactured slightly shorter depending on the chosen cable tensioning system, so during production, the length of the cable tensioners is subtracted from the given length.
Taut or Wavy - The Choice is Yours!
Taut Look
With the taut look, there is no sagging when extended. Here, the length corresponds exactly to the specified clear length measurement.
Cloud Look
The shading panels can be manufactured in two different versions: Taut Look and Cloud Look. For the Cloud Look, extra fabric is added lengthwise, creating a wavy appearance when extended. The sections hang down approximately 6-7 cm.
For steeper slopes, we recommend choosing the Cloud Look with a cloud belt. This ensures the waves are formed uniformly.
Building Your Own Folding Awning - No Problem!
Our custom-made folding awnings come with a complete mounting set. This means you won't need any additional purchases to install the shading panels.
Installing the folding awning is incredibly simple:
- Pull the cables parallel to each other
- Hang the clips on the cables
- Snap the shading panels into the clips
Depending on the mounting type (between or under the rafters) and cable tensioners used (standard or side cable tensioners), there are several installation manuals available for download.

Folding Awning Made from Premium Acrylic Fabric - Our Secret to Success!
Fabric
The shading panels of the folding awning are made from Dralon fabric. The material consists of 100% acrylic with a Teflon coating. The fabric is perfect for folding awnings and was specially developed for outdoor use:
- UV-resistant (light fastness factor 5-7 depending on color)
- Stain protection - dirt and water-repellent thanks to Teflon coating
- Breathable
- Mold resistant
- Durable

Cable
Steel cables have an unpleasant characteristic - they become rough over time and require regular maintenance. It's no coincidence that sellers offer lubricants right away (e.g., spray grease, silicone spray, etc.).
And if just a single wire breaks and jams - you can no longer extend or retract your cable awning, a new cable is needed.
That's why we've included a polyester cable in our product line. The cable is ideally suited for the cable-tensioned awning:
- It is very stable - with a diameter of 2.2 mm, the tensile load is 1800 N (approximately 184 kg)
- It is flame-resistant.
- It is very durable and absolutely maintenance-free.
You won't need to use any lubricants or similar products throughout its entire lifecycle. Your cable-tensioned awning will slide smoothly and reliably for many years. We provide a lifetime warranty on the cable.
Mounting Set
Three types of mounting sets can be used for cable installation.
Facade Mounting
Installation Using Iron Brackets
The mounting set with iron brackets is optimally suited for cable installation when the cable-tensioned awning is mounted between the rafters. However, it can also be used for mounting under the rafters (not recommended)
Installation Using Side Cable Tensioners
The side cable tensioners can be used with all mounting types (between and under the rafters as well as on facades or front boards).
Our custom-made folding awnings are also ideal for roofs with steep slopes. The shading panels slide smoothly and reliably. You don't need any additional accessories to fix individual panels in place. Simply pull the cable-tensioned awning to the desired position and the awning remains fixed in place. It doesn't get any simpler than that.
Dralon - Premium Outdoor Fabric
Thanks to its excellent properties, Dralon fabrics are used in many areas (indoors and outdoors, sportswear and workwear, fashion industry, baby and children's clothes, etc.).
Indoors, the fabric is used for blankets, furniture, upholstery and curtains, as well as carpets and table linen.
Outdoors, Dralon fabrics particularly show off their advantages. Brilliant colors, easy care, UV resistance and a pleasant feel comparable to cotton fabric. At the same time, Dralon fabric is very durable and long-lasting. Dralon® is well equipped against mold and bacterial attack.
The fabric exhibits the following properties:

Despite the Teflon coating (stain protection), the Dralon fabric is breathable - in the upholstery area, this prevents sweating and in the sun protection area, it prevents the formation of condensation and therefore mold.
